Careers at AMBC: GP

General Practitioner

We are always keen to hear about other GPs who are interested in the type of care we offer at Adelaide Mums and Babies Clinic. All our GPs are highly skilled in women’s health, antenatal and postnatal care, paediatrics, and mental health. Additionally, we require our GPs to either be accredited, or undergoing accreditation in Neuroprotective Developmental Care, or the Possums Program. This is the framing we use for our “Mums and Babies” appointments that focus on breastfeeding, infant sleep, unsettled babies and slow weight gain.

Our GPs have a range of additional qualifications varying from:

  • IBCLC (Lactation Consultants)
  • Diplomas in Obstetrics and Women’s Health
  • Diplomas in Child Health
  • Insertion of IUDs
  • Insertion of implanons
  • Ultrasound skills for pregnancy (used for our MTOP service and Early Pregnancy Bleeding Clinics)

If you have similar interests and skills, or feel that you have a skillset that would  be beneficial to the families of Adelaide and aligns with our values, we would love to hear from you.
